Materials

  • 2 litres of mineral or filtered water
  • 1 sprig of rue
  • 1 sprig of guinea hen weed
  • 1 sprig of purple basil
  • 3 pieces of coarse salt

Method

  1. Heat the water until it is just beginning to boil, then turn off the heat immediately.
  2. Place the fresh herbs in the water and crush them by rubbing them between your hands in the water until the liquid changes colour and releases the plants' scent.
  3. Add the three pieces of coarse salt and stir clockwise until dissolved.
  4. Cover the vessel and leave to steep for 30 minutes. Strain the mixture. After your usual bath, slowly pour the lukewarm preparation over yourself from the neck down. Return the leftover herbs to the earth.
